 David Rockwell, MD honored by the NC Orthopaedic Association
The North Carolina Orthopaedic Association awarded its 2011 Honored Surgeon Award to David Rockwell, MD of Hampstead, NC. The award was presented at the NCOA 2011 Annual Meeting on October 8, at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
The Honored Surgeon Award recognizes a North Carolina orthopaedic surgeon who has been notably influential in the promotion of the highest standards of orthopaedic care and has distinguished himself among his peers for dedication to quality patient care and to the medical profession. Recipients are honored annually by the NCOA.
Dr. Rockwell received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his residency at the University of Virginia.
Upon completion of his medical training, Dr. Rockwell joined Goldsboro Orthopaedics. He recently relocated and works with Wilmington Orthopaedics part-time.
As a mentor and leader, Dr. Rockwell has influenced many medical students, resident physicians and orthopaedic colleagues.
Dr. Rockwell and his wife Jan currently reside in Hampstead.
